Pies 'n' Thighs may have you waiting in line for a long time, but this is no reflection on the service, it is simply a testament to the popularity of this soul food based eatery in Brooklyn and should not by any means disuade you from paying an impromptu visit to this no nonsense diner with a flare for Georgia (state) inspired cuisine that disappeared from the scene only to reappear one year later (March 2010) along South 4th Street at Driggs Avenue.
For breakfast or brunch at Pies & Thighs we recommend the Rob Evans ($7 reg. $ 9 lrg. sausage gravy, egg & cheese on a bun biscuit) and for dinner go with an order of Fried Chicken Biscuit ($5), a side of Mac 'n' Cheese ($4) with Sweet Tea Lemonade ($2.50) for sipping. If you have a fun special event coming up or simply because its a Sunday afternoon, be sure to take home the bane to anyone unfortunately stuck with a peanut allergy, the Peanut Butter Pie ($30), which is basically one massive peanut butter cup.
On the way out we swear we heard someone say "Ya'll come back now, ya' hear!". We will.
