Molokini Crater Island

Considered to be one of the Top 10 Sorkeling Spots in the world. We disagree...more like Top 5! We dont just consider the pure act of snorkeling in this equation. The overall location and uniqueness of Molokini Islet is what sets it apart.

It may get a little too crowded for scuba, snorkel and snuba (yes, it's a real word and it's what you think it is) "purists" but there is plenty of room to sneak off and keep far more than an arms length from another diver. Molokini can only be reached by boat and can appear intimidating to the novice, thus is no where near the gong show you find with close to shore reef where Mom, Dad and two and a half kids can flip flop up to the water and wade on in.

About  From Company Website

Pride of Maui’s success is the culmination of important dynamics. One of the most important is our team. A team with a very important mission, which is to exceed the expectations of each and every guest we serve. Our skippers are veterans who’ve been with us a long time. Our Captains have a deep understanding of Maui and her surrounding waters, approaching each day with enthusiasm, which travels through the ranks to the crew, and shines from the first few minutes aboard on through the end of your special day or evening with us.

Back at the office we are fully staffed with a team of expert managers and staff, eager to assist every step of the way, making sure you understand exactly what to expect, what you should bring and even what to wear. We encourage you to ring us up and ask questions, as we are happy to share.

Our CEO and VP’s have been in the Maui tours and ocean adventure business over 30 years each, having served in every capacity from scuba Instructor to Captain and on to management at all levels. Collectively, they’ve operated dozens of vessels and serviced thousands of visitors and residents alike. Leadership gained through experience has positioned us at the top of our field. Our unwavering objective from the start is to be recognized as a company which provides impeccable service and to live up to our name, the “Pride of Maui”!

This is accomplished through training designed to instill the principal of impeccable service into the very core of our team. The result is a dynamic team who understand ocean adventure and are thrilled to share their knowledge with you, while making sure you are comfortable, safe and having the time of your life.

Our flagship “Pride of Maui” was designed by our CEO who set out to build the perfect vessel for the waters we cruise and Maui activities we provide. Built at a respected shipyard in Louisiana, she offers more stability and open deck space than any vessel on Maui. Pride of Maui offers all the amenities you deserve, including warm showers, sprawling upper deck with unobstructed views, 2 restrooms, large hardwood bar, spacious sheltered main cabin, 8 entry and 3 exit locations with submerged stairs and swim platforms, super water slide, glass bottom viewing and we even accommodate wheelchairs with ease.

Our Maui activities began with the Molokini snorkel, which through popularity and many happy customers has grown into a two boat operation providing Maui snorkeling, Maui snuba and Maui scuba to Molokini Crater and other wonderful Maui snorkel and Maui scuba locations. Our Maui snuba has grown and we have the distinction of introducing more people to Maui snuba than any other boat operation in the nation.

In addition to offering Maui snorkeling, Maui snuba and Maui scuba, we offer an exceptional Maui sunset cruise, scheduled 3 nights weekly (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). Our Maui sunset dinner cruise has been perfected over the years and we are proud to offer freshly prepared cuisine, a premium open bar and internationally re-known and very accomplished entertainers.

Maui private charters and Maui wedding events are an area of the business we have embraced since the beginning. There is no greater opportunity to shine than a Maui wedding, corporate incentive, or celebration of friends and family. We appreciate the opportunity to exceed your expectations and those of your most discerning guests by delivering the perfect private charter.

We are a team of experts, with extensive experience and on-going training, providing fabulous ocean adventure aboard exceptional boats, taking you to amazing places, where you will experience life long memories and impeccable service. We are the “Pride of Maui”.

YAH Says : The team at Pride… view more

The team at Pride of Maui has salt water in ther veins. Their knowledge about the island's surrounding waters is second to no other tour company on the island. What's really endearing about the crew, from captain to guide, is that no matter the years (decades even) of experience and the countless of visitors they have seen day in and day out, their friendly demeanor, patience and enthusiasm continues to shine like the sea life below when the sun over Maui is at it's peak.

ABOUT  From Company Website

The Lani Kai is a classy 53’ foot double deck power catamaran which carries up to 69 passengers in comfort and style. Enjoy the freedom of snorkeling with a smaller group! The Lani Kai provides the spacious feeling of the larger boats, while carrying half the passenger load. Our crew has time to really pamper you to make this adventure one of your most memorable experiences of your vacation.

- A large shaded cabin
- Seating for everyone inside, outside and on the bridge
- Our custom snorkel stairway makes it easy to get in and out of the water
- Wide spacious swim steps at water level
- 2 fresh water showers
- 2 heads (toilets)
- 2 sunning trampolines
- A water slide

Lani Kai’s superior speed does not only take you to Molokini fast, it also let’s us ride on top of the waves when the water is rough and provides a comfortable and stable cruise.

But the best of all is our wonderful experienced crew. Our senior captain Marc has driven boats out of Ma’alaea Harbor for 20 years and is captain on the Lani Kai since 1998. The main goal for our crew is to provide you with an awesome experience and treat you as individuals, not as a crowd.

If you are an experienced snorkeler, they let you follow your own path in the water within sight distance. They help beginners with all their needs until you feel safe. Even if you cannot swim, you can learn to snorkel.
We don’t spoil your experience with a lot of microphone talk. Ask our crew about anything you want to know.

6. Haleakala Volcano

Address : Kula, HI 96790

Description : Haleakala’s summit is 10,023… view more

Haleakala’s summit is 10,023 ft. above sea level. Haleakala park’s arid, volcanic cone-dotted crater—actually a huge land depression—is its biggest attraction, drawing hundreds of visitors each morning for the amazing sunrises that gave the summit its Hawaiian name. (Haleakala means “house of the sun.”) But there's much more to see at Haleakala National Park than the summit. The park also encompasses lush Kipahulu Valley from summit to sea and the popular Seven Sacred Pools and waterfalls of Oheo Gulch, all of it about 10 miles southeast of Hana on the winding Hana Highway.

YAH Says : To be honest (that's… view more

To be honest (that's what we are!), it's one of those days where you find yourself saying "it seemed like a good idea at the time". In a land of so much beauty, Haleakala National Park should come at the end of any "must-do" lists in Maui, although most periodicals and sites for Hawaii will tell you that it belongs at the top of said list. The dry landscape and schizophrenic temperature fluctuation from day to night demands solid preparation and mid-day photo opps are limited. However, this attraction makes for a great bike trek and definitely encouraged for 2 wheeled enthusiasts. The AMAZING summit sunset view is a definite payoff should you decide to make a day at Haleakala National Park.

7. Twin Falls

Address : Hana Rd., Maui, Maui County

Description : ABOUT    Height -… view more

Height - 40ft

Access - Walk/Hike

Distance - 1.2 Miles

Elevation - 500ft

Season (best "flow") - December to July

Difficulty - Easy. Minor streams (levels vary during rainy season) to cross so be prepared with appropriate footwear and waterproofing if it happens to exceed wading levels.

Warnings - Personal Safety is no issue in Hawaii but leaving valuables in your car is not recommended. Theft, unfortunately, is more common.

Directions - From Hwy 360/365 junction (marker 0), drive east on Hwy 360 (Hana Hwy) for 2.2 miles to the exit on the right where the sign says "Twin Falls".

YAH Says : One of many waterfalls… view more

One of many waterfalls in the area, Twin Falls is found on Private proerty but has been opened up to the public. There is no fee required, BUT there is a small marketplace at the foot of the trail and a donation should be made out of courtesy and appreciation for the local community. They would never dream of making you feel this obligation, but we will ;)

This is a pretty basic falls attraction. The first fall, at about 25ft is found just after Hoolawanui Stream, and the second fall (often missed by tourists) is found on Hoolawaliilii Stream. The second one is much more appealling reaching about 40ft.

If you are limited in your time we recommend skipping Twin Falls and venturing further down Hana Road for more awe inspiring sights.
