About Bouchon  From Management Website

French bistro food is my favorite - steak frites, a two-inch high quiche with bacon and onions, a salad with an egg on top finished with a perfect vinaigrette, a croque madame, some oysters and a glass of champagne. These are foods that represent the most important kind of cooking there is because they're rooted in tradition. So when I thought of opening a restaurant that's more casual than The French Laundry, I decided to explore and deepen the culinary heritage that I admire so much. A Bouchon can be, and should be, whatever you need it to be. It's a casual place, a social place, a place where people come to relax talk and to eat. A kind of home.

Sloppi Jo's food truck in Las Vegas has a loyal following of locals which is always a good sign. The Pin Up girl decorated exterior, and name, may feel as if this truck is fueled by testosterone but Sloppi Jo's is owned and operated exquisitely by the better half of the population, and chef Jolene (as in "Jo'"), is no slouch in the mobile kitchen.

Sloppi Jo's brings the heat with its signature New Mexico chili sauces (green and red), using the Hatch Green Chili and the mild to hot New Mexico Red Pepper as its main kicker ingredients, and is found in some hint or other in most of the menu. The results are beyond compare. Start your engines with their Breakfast Burrito, where red and green sauces combine to blend together traditional Ingredients (chorizo, potatoes, etc...) into the perfect morning wake up call. The egg topped Sloppi Jo Bowl is the "go to" item for locals, while we are most partial to the afternoon/evening delight Red Chili Burger, complete with bacon, Jack cheese, red chili, and sandwiched between a superiorly textured potato bun. Please excuse the crude pun - but you'll be sure to return for Sloppi seconds!

...try the Irish Car Bombs (what a name!), which is a part of Sloppi Jo's Sweet Stuff menu.  Ingredients - chocolate Guinness cake, Jameson, and Bailey's buttercream.

YAH Says : The culinary pride of… view more

The culinary pride of Philadelphia has made its way across the U.S. with Mom & Pop eateries in every state claiming to have a cheesesteak sandwich just as good as the ones you find in Philly. 99% of the time they fall short, some much further than others. So when the Food Slingers Food Truck in Las Vegas makes the claim to serving an authentic Philly Cheesesteak (in Vegas??), true connoisseurs approach with suspicion.

The yellow and black truck is often found in the parking lot of a Las Vegas gun store, so making false claims could be hazardous to their health. Rest assured their safety and reputation remain well intact. The biggest reason for Food Slingers success as a Philly Cheesesteak (or as they call it "CHEEZE") server comes from the fact that they use juicy Rib Eye as it's staple meat, although they also offer chicken and pork versions to accommodate the varied tastes of Las Vegas. Traditional White American Cheese is used as the main topping in addition to the prerequisite peppers and onions. Outside of offering a great Philly, Food Slingers keeps things interesting with items such as the Blue Rib Eye Burger (w/blue cheese and served in marble rye bread) and the Philly Cheesesteak Burger which a "best of both worlds" combo sandwich. Another great option is their signature Hawaiian Pork Slinger, which combines pork, teriyaki sauce, Yellow American Cheese, and a crushed pineapple topping that adds pleasant "pop" of sweet flavor to the unique sandwich.

You may not come to Las Vegas in search of a great Philly Cheesesteak but it's nice to know you can find one if you get the hankering, even in the City of Sin.

In dramatic fashion and parked outside of Frankies Tiki Room (when we arrived, otherwise they are found at many other locations) is the food truck with a name that will make you cover your kid's eyes as you pass by - FuKu. Only in Sin City right? Actually, FuKu is pronounced "foo-koo" and it's a mobile home to some of the most unique burgers and dogs in Las Vegas. The fiery truck with an even hotter hostess (think Japanese import car show) to take orders has fans lining up in a fast and furious manner to nab items like the Buta Burger - a sizzling beef, bacon, and cheese concoction fueled with a dollop of bbq wasabi. Our other notable find at FuKu is their Naga Dog - a hot link with kimchi, wasabi (consistent theme at FuKu) mayo, and toped with roasted seaweed. It may not make sense on paper but between the fresh homemade sauces, hostess, and wildly animated brothers that run the truck, FuKu is revolutionizing the mobile food business in a city that thought it had seen it all.

Tasty Bunz Sweet O's

Tasty Bunz reminds us of a food truck we would more likely see in Honolulu as opposed to Las Vegas. Given that the island of Oahu is home to some of the BEST food trucks in the world and pretty much put portable eateries on the map for the U.S., such a comparison for Tasty Bunz is a good thing. There is a definite Filipino influence on the unique menu offered by owner EJ Estrella and you'll see him throw a "Shaka" for foodie fan photos more often than not, indicating that he in fact has spent more that enough time on the islands, or pondering the journey at least.

As the name states, this food truck is known for its buns, or bunz. One of the "must haves" includes the Queso Diaz - a round sticky bun glazed and stuffed with Cheese panchetta and jalapeno - but you can't go wrong with the other members of the family - Le Cordon Bun (Chicken swiss and prosciutto filling) or the McCheesy (Truffle mac n cheese in a mushroom dough). Tasty Bunz also serves weekly specials that could land you a mean mini-burger in the form of the Cold Shoulder Slider (Filipino milk bread surrounding crsipy onions and tender pork). However, our sweet tooth really gets the best of us when we happen upon Tasty Bunz. The Sweet O’s are proverbially sinful and reading the elements of the confectionary concoction alone floors you with visions of a sugar rush that will last well into the wee hours - Tempura fried oreo’s with a white chocolate and caramel sauce (pictured above) - 'nuff said.
